In February 2021, Illinois Fence Company installed a 4-foot vinyl fence in Naperville, IL. As you can see in the photos, there was a lot of snow on the ground! We had to snow blow around the property’s perimeter so that the crew could install the fence to grade. The good thing about the snow is that it acts as a blanket, so the ground underneath wasn’t frozen! The fence installation crew could dig the holes and set the concrete without any frost issues. The new homeowner was pleased to get their fence installed for their dogs!
It took about two days to install over 351′ of vinyl with two gates and dirt removal. The vinyl fence style: 4′ Traditional Spaced Picket White Vinyl Fence. You could do this design with a 4-inch or 6-inch picket. And the standard spacing is 2 inches. If you wanted to get a semi-private fence, you could go down to a 1-inch space. The top and bottom rails are 2×6 rails that go inside the posts. You could do 6-foot long or 8-foot long sections. The benefit to 6-foot long sections is more support, thus making the fence stronger.
The vinyl fences that we install in Naperville, IL, and the surrounding suburbs, are custom made at our shop. Illinois Fence Company has vinyl machines that pre-route out the posts and rails for each job, allowing us to work with the homeowner to ensure the fence meets their needs.
What is your fence budget?
Vinyl fences last a long time and are maintenance-free, but that comes with a cost. If your goal is to get the lowest price possible, then a vinyl fence is not for you. There are more affordable options! However, if you’re looking for a fence that will last a long time and maintain its look, then a vinyl fence might be a good fit. Knowing your general fence budget will help us direct you in the right direction during the fence estimate.
